Los Valles Occidentales natural park (Parque natural de los Valles Occidentales), in the province of Huesca, has one of the most beautiful high mountain landscapes in the community of Aragon. The landscape has been shaped by the strong Atlantic winds, major karst processes and glacial erosion. The mountains in the park preserve important historical, cultural and ethnographic resources, including megalithic monuments and even a stretch of the Roman Cesar Augusta - Beneamum road. The road is currently used as part of The Way of St James pilgrimage route.
